Open Eyes, Save Forest

If there’s one place we go above all others when we need to relax it’s the forest. You could say we were lovers of forest bathing before that was even a thing!

Walking between old trees is almost meditative and something we try to do at least once a week. It’s pretty much the antidote to stress, and we always come out happier than we went in.

India had a commercial deforestation problem, Forest covers were fast disappearing. So the government introduced the Forest Conservation Act 1980. The act helps conserve forests and protects forest land. It restricts the use of forest land for commercial purposes without a thorough regulation process.

Forest

They produce Oxygen

Absorb Carbon dioxide, filter the air and reduce pollution

Prevent soil erosion

Play important part in water cycle

Provide food security

Reduce climate change

Protect crops from wind

Provide medicine

Support biodiversity

And finally, forests are the natural home and habitat for millions of species of animals, birds, and insects.

Also, over 1.5 billion people depend on forest resources for their livelihoods. These resources provide food, fuel, medicine, shelter, and more. Forests are also essential as a backup plan for when crops don’t do well. According to the World Wildlife Fund, 300 hundred million people live in forests. If these forests were gone, it would cause poverty to skyrocket and create millions of refugees.

Conserve the Forest

Control deforestation, Protect against Forest Fires, afforestation (plant more trees in the area), better farming practices.

“The sacred place of silent minds and deep souls is the depths of the forest!”

Don't stress - Be Calm

Stress is a very common word in our fast day to day life. In one's life everyone suffers from stress at some point or the other. Stress can be due to workplace pressures, tensions in relationships etc. etc. Stress normally disturbs our physical and mental health. Due to stress a person fails to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats to the organism.

Common stress symptoms include irritability, muscular tension, inability to concentrate and a variety of physical reactions, such as headaches and accelerated heart beat. Otherwise stress can also cause backache, insomnia, fatigue, hypertension, eating disorder etc.

Believe it or not, stress makes people “more superstitious”.

A new study has revealed that stress makes people not only believe in rituals but also in conspiracy theories and as a result, they are more likely to “see” things that actually do not exist.

However, volunteers who were made to feel more secure about their lives were less likely to fall back on conspiracy and superstition, the study found— the results of which are published in the Science’ journal.

So it is very clear that STRESS can create havoc with your life. So it is imperative that we need to be cool & calm in life. Stress needs to be avoided in all cases in life. Now how can a person remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances so that he/she never experiences any stress?

Be Calm like an Ocean :

The main reason why our mind remains disturbed is that we are not satisfied with our present state. If you have something, you are not happy with it. If you have your family, sons, daughters etc. then you may not have harmonious relations with them. If you have a particular amount of money with you, it seems less to you & you want more of it. Same is that, you have Greed for other things & don’t know how to enjoy the one’s you are already having.

To be peaceful at mind, the first & foremost thing is to be satisfied with what you have at present & try to make harmonious relations with the people all around you. Once you are able to do that then you shall find that you are better off & much peaceful.

So if we want to come out of stress then first of all we need to change our lifestyle. Other than following above advice, we need to learn some relaxation techniques such as meditation, doing deep breathing exercises, listening to soul soothing music etc. Having a long simple walk, doing some physical exercises, massaging the body can also help in reducing the stress.

INSIDE YOU

The whole universe lies within every human being - everything you see around you, Including the things you love that you may not love, even the people you despise, hate or love!!

They sit inside you to varying degrees, so don't look for the devil or the angel outside yourself, for the angel and-Satan is not a superpower that attacks you from the outside, but rather an ordinary voice that emanates from inside you.

If you recognise yourself completely and sincerely face the cruelty of your dark and bright sides.

When you reach the finest forms of awareness.. And when you know yourself.. you will know God / Nature .

Who is scared of death?

Where do you think we go when we pass away?

I Feel ...

It's scientific, you are alive because of an energy .... Controlled by force ...

Energy , is so called soul ...

Force , is Gravity ...

So when you die the energy transform from one state to another ...

That's why we say Soul can never be created or destroy ..

The whole universe is controlled by ultimate force that is Gravity and different energies. ...

So difficult to say where one's energy will go after death .. it can be guided through one's karma when alive .. because whatever one put in Universe, get back ...

5 Lifestyle Habits That Help Create a Healthier Future

“Our bodies are gardens; our wills are our gardeners.” – William Shakespeare

A healthy body and a happy mind contribute towards a thriving lifestyle. A well-balanced living means adopting healthy lifestyle habits and having a positive outlook. Maintaining a balanced living helps reduce your stress levels in this fast-paced world. For a holistic approach to life, it is essential to consider all aspects of your life: relationships, work, fitness, health as well as emotional health.

Make time for yourselves and indulge in self-care to create outlets for stress relief. You might have a mountain of responsibilities on your shoulders, but you must devote some time to catch up on yourself.

Below are five healthy lifestyle habits that will help you create a healthier future:

1. Sleep
Sleep is not a luxury. An adequate amount of sleep is necessary for your body to function correctly. It will allow you to have plenty of energy for your daily chores.

Sufficient amounts of sleep can improve your memory and quality of life, sharpens your attention, help you maintain a healthy weight, and of course, lower the stress.

2. Increase Your Water Intake
Your body is around 60% water. The right amount of water intake is essential for efficient metabolism. Moreover, dehydration can cause conditions such as dry mouth, low blood pressure, and even fatigue.

3. Eat Your Greens
Adopting healthy food habits and eating sufficient fruits and vegetables prevents you from various diseases and is the best daily routine for a healthy life. You can include vegetables such as spinach, beans, broccoli, and more in your diet routine to get the right amount of nutrition. Emphasize more on whole grains and fat-free food items and cut on junk as far as possible. Also, stay away from harmful substances such as tobacco, alcohol, and cigarettes.

4. Exercise
Lack of exercise can lead to many problems such as obesity, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. You need to take out a few minutes to exercise or walk daily. Remember that beginning small is better than not moving at all. Exercise also plays a massive role in reducing stress.

5. Unplug From The Technology
Avoiding excess use of technology can do miracles as it hinders your sleeping routine and distracts people from the real world. Turning off your devices at least an hour before sleep can improve the quality of your sleep.

All these healthy lifestyle habits, such as eating healthy, exercising daily, and avoiding harmful substances, bring you a step closer towards being healthy. A healthy practice develops a behavior that is beneficial for your physical and mental well being.

Healthy lifestyle habits take time to develop and often require changing your mindset. But if you’re willing to make sacrifices to better your health, the impact can be far-reaching, regardless of your age, sex, or physical ability.

pal zara jee liye hote

Hum humesha zindagi ki bhag daud me lage rehte hain, kabhi koi pal aata hain jo hume lubhata hain, par hum use nazar andaz kar dete hain, firr jab waqt beet jata hain firr hum pachtate hain, ye soch ke ki shayad us pal zara jee liye hote, par firr hum kuch nahee kar paate, kyunki wo pal wo lamah ek baar aaya tha, aur shayad dobara kabhi na aaye.

Five (5) Buddhist Keys for Building Happiness.

Five (5) Buddhist Keys for Building Happiness.

1. Happiness begins with a vow.
2. Happiness is overcoming unhappiness.
3. The solution to your problems lies within.
4. Don't compare yourself with others.
5. Be in the here and now.

by Shin Yatomi.

The First Key: Happiness begins with a vow.

Do you have a despotic boss who is unhappy no matter what you do?
The reason why most tyrants are unhappy is that they are waiting for someone else to please them while they themselves do nothing but make demands. Happiness served on a silver platter turns sour after a few bites. Nichiren Buddhism explains that we begin and continue the quest for happiness of oneself and others by making a personal vow and renewing it every day. Each person must create his or her own happiness. Waiting for happiness is a formula for unhappiness. Happiness is born of action.

The Second Key: Happiness is overcoming unhappiness.

Happiness is not an absence of problems, and the presence of problems does not mean unhappiness. Nichiren Buddhism explains that genuine happiness lies in overcoming difficulties. The important thing is to learn how to face our problems, not how to avoid them. Through the practice of Nichiren Buddhism, we can transform meaningless sufferings into meaningful challenges.

The Third Key: The solution to your problem lies within.

It is always tempting to blame our environment for our suffering through our delusions and that we can overcome our suffering by manifesting our innate Buddha nature. It is a common myth that we will become happy when we acquire pleasurable things or meet someone wonderful. But the truth is that when we are happy, we can truly enjoy the niceties of life or good companionship. This is a Copernican change in our view of happiness. Put simply, we are the cause and the solution to our problems, and genuine happiness must be created from within. To realize this is to free ourselves from being a victim of circumstances. Being a victim is easy, but it doesn't make us happy.

The Fourth Key: Don't compare yourself with others.

We are trained by society to compare ourselves with others, to see our lives through the eyes of others. Over the years, we've learned to feel superior to the less fortunate and disparage ourselves when we are with the more fortunate - restlessly vacillating between arrogance and self-disparagement depending on our circumstances. Nichiren Buddhism, however, teaches us how to build a stronger self that need not seek the reference of its worth outside. Nichiren Buddhism encourages us to bring forth our unique quality that cannot be compared with anything else. Each person has a unique set of karmic circumstances and - by challenging them - can make unique contributions to the world. Our karmic suffering can be transformed into our precious mission in life. With this awareness, we can change arrogance into appreciation, self-disparagement into true confidence.

The Fifth Key: Be in the here and now.

We sometimes dwell in resentment and regret about our past: 'Because that horrible thing happened to me, I cannot be happy.' At other times, we are preoccupied with worries about our future: 'What if my relationship doesn't work out?' Nichiren Buddhism teaches that the present moment contains all the past and the future. In other words, by challenging our present state of existence, we can transform resentment and regret into appreciation for our past. Of course, we cannot undo our past, but - by developing a strong state of life Now - we can change the meaning our past holds for us and change worries into hopes. Nichiren Buddhism also teaches that we cannot create happiness simply by moving from one place to another. What's most important is to change our inner state of being where we are. Put simply, Nichiren Buddhism shows us how to create happiness in the past (appreciation), in the present (fulfillment) and in the future (hope) by challenging our lives in the here and now.

Economists traditionally use gross domestic product (GDP) to measure economic progress. If GDP is rising, the economy is in good shape, and the nation is moving forward. If GDP is falling, the economy is in trouble, and the nation is losing ground.
Indian economy or GDP expanded at lower-than-expected 5% year on year in the April-June quarter, the slowest in over six years, driven by weak investment growth and sluggish demand. ... Slowdown in growth due to endogenous and exogenous factors, said Chief Economic Adviser K.V. Subramanian after GDP data release.Aug 30, 2019
The country's GDP grew at a modest 4.5% in the September quarter, official data released
Nov. 29 showed. This marks the sixth straight fall in quarterly GDP growth and also the first time in almost seven years that it has fallen below the psychologically important 5% mark.
According to the International Labour Organization (ILO) – a United Nations agency, unemployment is rising in India and the "unemployment rate in the country [India] will stand at 3.5 percent in 2018 and 2019 – the same level of unemployment seen in 2017 and 2016".
India's unemployment rate in the month of October jumped to 8.5 per cent, which is the highest in over three years.
In the last few years, gross NPAs of banks (as a percentage of total loans) have increased from 2.3% of total loans in 2008 to 9.3% in 2017 (Figure 1). This indicates that an increasing proportion of a bank’s assets have ceased to generate income for the bank, lowering the bank’s profitability and its ability to grant further credit.
The FDI performance of India over the last few years has also not been inspiring in terms of the destination of investment. In 2018, India dropped out of the top 10 destinations for FDI on the AT Kearney FDI Confidence Index for the first time since 2015. This came at a time when other comparable economies were doing relatively well — Southeast Asian economies saw FDI increase in 2018 by 11 per cent.
Government’s much-hyped ‘Make in India’ has failed to create jobs across sectors. In fact, a top corporate honcho has even declared that India is “exporting more jobs than goods”, as of now.
Six years after it was introduced, the 'none of the above' or NOTA option is beginning to increasingly count in elections in the country.
In the recent assembly election in Maharashtra, the number of voters choosing NOTA in Latur (Rural) and Palus-Kadegaon constituencies was second only to those who backed the winning candidates. In Haryana, there was one assembly seat, Thanesar, where the victory margin was less than the votes cast for NOTA.
Indian economy crying for reforms.
